rob ROB HACH – President & Chief Executive Officer

Rob has been working in the wind industry since 1994. In 2008, Rob was able to successfully raise $750,000 in equity funds to grow the company from 7 employees to its current standing of 33 employees. At the same time Rob, has increased revenues a multiple of 6 times. During Rob’s career, he has participated in every aspect of wind and solar project development and aspects of project construction as well as operations and maintenance. He has been recognized by the Federal Government, the State of Iowa, his Peers and the Industry as a leader in Renewable Energy. Rob is an active member of many renewable energy associations and organizations including being a board member of the Iowa Wind Energy Association.


 VERONICA MCFADDEN – Vice-President of Asset Financing

Veronica McFadden is responsible for project development.  Previously, Veronica owned and managed her own retail business in Storm Lake, Iowa for four years.  Prior to starting her own business Veronica worked as a Project Director with Upper Des Moines Opportunity developing, implementing, and managing a federal grant project in addition to writing grant applications.  Veronica earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Buena Vista University and an MBA from Bellevue University with a major in Finance.

TONY PETERSEN – Vice President of Business Development & Sales

 Tony Petersen is a seasoned sales management professional with the expertise to manage a large sales force. Tony is the past Executive Vice President of Sales for Cycle Country Accessories Corp, Director of Sales at Kolpin and Territory Manager at Crysteel MFG. While at Cycle Country, Tony was able to implement sustained increases in product pre-season sales from an average of $4 million to an average of $8 million within a $12 million dollar annual product line. Throughout his career he was always the company’s top earner and progressive thinker. Tony’s focus has always been solidifying solid business relationships based total mutual trust and a high standard of ethics. As a testament to his ability during his 8 years at Crysteel he took his territory from $3M to $15M while decreasing the amount of dealers and increasing profitability through customer training, strong business relationships and trust.

 MICHELLE ARENSON J.D. – Consulting Adviser

Michelle Arenson is a veteran of the regulated and unregulated utility business. Michelle started her career as an attorney in private practice. In 1998 Michelle took a position in the legal department of Alliant Energy. Michelle held several positions in the legal department, ultimately serving as General Counsel of some of Alliant Energy unregulated affiliates, managing the commercial practice division of the company, and leading several M&A transactions prior to leaving the legal department to start Alliant Energy’s wind division in 2007. Michelle lead site acquisition, greenfield development, construction and operations for the wind fleet, building a standalone division to develop, operate and maintain Alliant Energy’s wind fleet. Michelle has an established reputation in developing performance-based, cost-effective solutions through comprehensive skills incorporating innovative management techniques. Michelle excels at leading multi functional teams and completing projects within time and budget constraints.


 KEN HACH – Wind Energy Pioneer

Ken is a lifelong entrepreneur in wind energy development.  Starting in 1977, Ken knew after the second energy embargo that the government wasn’t going to fix this energy crisis and he decided to jump into renewable energy.  As one of the foremost experts on utility scale wind farm development.  Ken has developed the 3 of the largest wind farms in the United State in 1998 and 1999.  Ken has received numerous awards over the years and the most reason was the Friends of Wind Energy from the Iowa Wind Energy Association for this efforts in developing state policy that later spurred the growth of the wind industry in Iowa.

 deweyDWAINE “DEWEY” HIGGINS – Operations Manager

Dewey has over ten years working in the wind industry.  Previously, Mr. Higgins worked for DeWind, a Korean wind turbine manufacture as part of their operations team as well as their Health and Safety Coordinator.  Dewey has experience in remote and local monitoring of US turbine fleet.  He managed various construction and turbine commissioning projects as well as managing the maintenance of both the scheduled and unscheduled turbine service.  Mr. Higgins has been cited for developing many of the processes and procedures implemented for DeWind’s domestic fleet.  Prior to DeWind, Dewey worked domestically for the European wind turbine maintenance company, B9 Energy, working on a broad number of turbine manufacturers’ wind turbines.  Mr. Higgins started in the wind industry for Granite Services after receiving his degree from Iowa Lake Community College in Wind Energy and Turbine Technology.  He is retired National Guard, where he is a two-time recipient of the Iowa National Guard Achievement Medal as well as receiving the Humanitarian Service Award.

 JOSH NIEMEIER – Project Manager

Josh has directed over $4.3 M in wind and solar construction projects. Supervised construction project scheduling, organization and work activities. Conferred throughout process with supervisors, owners, contractors and designers. Acted to resolve construction problems and complaints. Prepared contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Kept records of costs and spending. Represented property owners to other employees. Inspected projects and monitored compliance to building, safety, and other regulations. Directed worker selection, contracting and supervision. Completed projects successfully. Josh has over 8 years working in the wind industry and over 20 years working in construction management.

Cindy Greer

Cindy Greer – Accountant

Cindy recently joined the Trusted Energy team as accountant.  She is responsible for financial reporting and budgeting, managing cash flow and vendor relationships, establishing and implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance with the law and company policies.  She balances asset stewardship with entrepreneurial risk.  For 20 years, Cindy was the CFO of a $14M medical rehab facility she helped build from ground zero and spent another 10 years as the owner of a medical billing company.  She graduated from Iowa State University in 1981 with a BA in Industrial Administration, received her CPA certification in 1982 and her CMA certification in 1991.

april_new APRIL BARRERA – Development Manager

April managed easement contract creation with individual and corporate landowners for wind-electric projects, contacted out of state County Recorders and Abstract offices to obtain legal descriptions, elevations and existing leans and easements.  Is responsible for researching corporate ownership’s and absentee landowners as well as assisted with turbine locations by evaluating elevations and topography.  Was responsible for registering completed easement documents.
